The sequence of an aldehyde decarbonylase was synthesized after the gene Lux D with a RBS and a non-specific region between then.

This sequence was taken from the cyanobacterium Synechococcus elongatus used in the work "Synthesis of customized petroleum-replica fuel molecules by targeted modification of free fatty acid pools in Escherichia coli" of Dr. Howard and collaborators for the production of alkanes.
